2022 KASCHPER UPDATE: NEW BOOK: ‘JAKOB’S JOURNEY: 70 YEARS-DESIGN & BUILDING OF RACING SHELLS’ The Covid-19 lockdowns provided a ‘window’ of time for a major undertaking! For many years, coaches, customers and friends suggested that Jakob create a personal memoir of his boatbuilding career. This book is the only such work by a Rowing Shell Builder that we know of. We are happy to offer the NEW MEMOIR here to our customers, rowing friends, history buffs and enthusiasts. It is created in a modified SCRAP BOOK FORM,156 pages, total size 11”x18”. It includes Jakob’s original design drawings, apprenticeship, innovations, photos of staff members, coaches, customers,and rowing friends from around the globe through the 50 years of Kaschper Racing Shells, and more.
